Obviously, Sony's desktop consoles are the company's gold mine, and in a way it is understood that the PlayStation Vita was not in the first place of attention, but from there to throwing it directly overboard there is a big difference.



But that's the story, Sony without saying much, or not at least in a formal way, little by little it was leaving the PlayStation Vita relegated to the background, and where only indie studios paid attention to it.

The irony is that even in 2018, the console would have a lot to offer. Which leads us to ask ourselves the question of whether it is still advisable to buy a PlayStation Vita at this point in the game, especially, knowing what we already know.

There are games, but you have to know how to search

Like any video game console, the PlayStation Vita has with it a series of titles that are within the category of essentials. The list is not very long, although it is of a good quality and where games like Uncharted: The Golden Abyss, Rayman Legends, or Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate stand out to mention a few.

The question is whether it is worth buying a PlayStation Vita in full 2018 just for this list of titles. In all fairness, aside from this list of must-have games, there are several more that are pretty good and made by independent studios.



The only thing is that you have to know how to search, especially in the PlayStation Store, since these titles will not be found in physical format. Video game stores hardly have PS Vita games in their inventory, making it even more difficult to find what we want to play.

In fact, and without sounding exaggerated, only a tiny part of the games available for PlayStation Vita will be found in physical format, so most of the time we will have to buy a digital copy, which leads us to another drawback that we will comment later
